Denali Book 5 and 6 Highlights: Keeneland September Yearling Sale

Denali Stud (Craig and Holly Bandoroff, Agent) was ranked 10th out of 36 on the leading consignor list for a total of $139,000 and an average of $17,375.

Denali sold eight out of nine yearlings sent through the ring during book 5, session 11 on September 21st.

   

Hip 3708, a chestnut filly by Commissioner out of Apache Signal was sold for $50,000 to buyer East West Stable. Commissioner was ranked 6th out of 112 on the leading sire list, and sold five yearlings for a total of $167,000 and an average of $33,400 for session 11.

Hip 3562, a chestnut filly by Lookin at Lucky out of Polly Alexander (IRE) was sold for $40,000 to buyer GMC. This filly’s sire was ranked 13th out of 112 on the leading sire list, with three yearlings sold during session 11 for a total of $108,000 and an average of $36,000.

Hip 3799, Outragusandangerus,  a dark bay or brown colt by Summer Front out of G2 winner Everdeen was sold for $16,000 to buyer Chad Schumer, Agent.  Summer Front was ranked 16th out of 112 on the leading sire list this session, with eight of his yearlings selling for a total of $96,000 and an average of $12,000.

Hip 3816, Moneyformyhoney,  a gray or roan filly by Twirling Candy out of Forever Sunshine was sold for $15,000 to buyer J.C. Corporation. Twirling Candy was ranked 18th out of 112 on the leading sire list for this session, with seven yearlings sold for a total of $88,000 and an average of $12,571.

Hip 3520, a dark bay or brown filly by Oxbow out of Misty American was sold for $7,000 to buyer Joel Odell. Oxbow, son of Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Awesome Again, was Preakness (G1) hero.

Hip 3570, a bay filly by Animal Kingdom out of G1 winner Pura Classe (BRZ) was sold for $3,500 to buyer James K Chapman. This filly’s sire was winner of the Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup.
