Quintet of Denali yearlings cataloged for F-T Saratoga
Denali Stud returns to the F-T Saratoga Select Sale for the 20th consecutive year with five promising yearlings for the prestigious Aug. 4-5 auction.
The group includes a pair of colts by Malibu Moon and Hard Spun, and fillies by Giant’s Causeway, Kitten’s Joy and Tiznow.
Hip No. 48, the Tiznow filly, will sell on the first day of the auction. She is the first foal out of the stakes winner Mimi’s Bling, who is a half sister to multiple grade 3 winner Custom for Carlos.
The remaining four horses will sell on Aug. 5. Hip No. 126, a dark bay filly by the popular Kitten’s Joy will get close looks. She is out of the War Chant mare Wild Chant, who is a half-sister to the brilliant 3-year-old filly Untapable and Grade 1 Secretariat S. winner Paddy o’Prado.
There won’t be many better-bred colts by hot sire Malibu Moon than Hip No. 97. He is out of the high-class racemare Street Sounds, a Grade 2 winner by Street Cry (Ire) that earned over half a million on the track. The Giant’s Causeway filly, selling as Hip No. 110, could have been in the NY Preferred portion of the Saratoga sales a week later. However, the chestnut filly figures to acquit herself well on the global stage Tuesday as a Select offering.
Details for all of our yearlings can be found on the consignment page.
